Learn how to increase the profit of the MatchX Miner
With a MatchX M2 Pro Miner, you will be rewarded in MXC if you contribute to the IoT network. This is also known as Proof of Participation (PoP). The size of the reward is between $10-12, provided the Miner Health is 100%. In this article, we explain how to get the Miner Health to 100% and maximize mining revenues.
What is Miner Health?
Miner health is the core of the PoP system and gives miners control and insight into all aspects that affect mining efficiency. When Miner Health is 100%, Mining Efficiency is also 100%. For new miners there is a 90 day “Grace Period”.
What is the “Grace Period”?
The Grace Period is a 90-day period during which miners can explore all parts of the MatchX M2 Pro Miner without affecting Miner Health. This means that the Miner Health always remains 100% during the first 90 days. The 90 days start from the moment you connect the MatchX M2 Pro Miner. During these 90 days you can see changes in Miner Health, but this will not affect the efficiency of mining. This gives new miners time to bring their Miner Health to 100% during these 90 days, so that the miner will continue to mine at 100% after the grace period.
How do I get 100% Miner Health?
The Miner Health is determined by six factors, namely Uptime, Altitude, GPS, Orientation, Proximity and Fuel. Of these six factors, the biggest factors are Uptime and Fuel.
Uptime: 20% Miner Health
Altitude: 5% Miner Health
GPS: 5% Miner Health
Orientation: 13% Miner Health
Proximity: 7% Miner Health
Fuel tank: 50% Miner Health
Uptime
Uptime measures the connection between the MatchX M2 Pro Miner and the IoT network. Uptime requires a stable internet connection and power supply. The uptime is important, because the uptime shows how reliable a MatchX M2 Pro Miner is. When a MatchX M2 Pro Miner is offline for an extended period of time, it is considered unreliable and can no longer mine 100% on the network. This ensures that miners are incentivized to optimize their uptime, which in turn leads to a more reliable network that can connect billions of IoT devices worldwide.
It can happen that something happens that causes the MatchX M2 Pro Miner to temporarily lose connection. Think of internet maintenance, power failure or a temporary necessary disconnection of the MatchX M2 Pro Miner in order to move or relocate it. It is not that these events will continue to negatively affect Miner Health. The moment the MatchX M2 Pro Miner loses uptime, the Miner Health goes down, but the uptime is reset every 7 days. Every week the Miner Health is calculated based on the average uptime over the previous 7 days. Should the MatchX M2 Pro Miner lose uptime for any reason, it will only affect mining efficiency for a week.
Altitude and GPS
The altitude is how high the MatchX M2 Pro Miner is relative to the ground floor. The algorithm also takes into account the location (GPS) of the MatchX M2 Pro Miner in the calculation. Thanks to the GPS we are not penalized for where we live and we can also achieve 100% mining efficiency. It is important that you try to connect the MatchX M2 Pro Miner in a high place. For example, on the second floor, on a balcony or on the roof. This ensures that the connection your MatchX M2 Pro Miner makes with the IoT network is optimal.
Orientation
Orientation is nothing more than placing the MatchX M2 Pro Miner upright. The MatchX M2 Pro Miner has antennas for a reason and they must be able to be used. When the MatchX M2 Pro Miner is placed upside down, the MatchX M2 Pro Miner loses Miner Health.
Proximity
Proximity is the proximity of other MatchX M2 Pro Miners. When there are a large number of miners within a small area, this will not contribute much to the growth of the IoT network. For this reason, there can be 10 MatchX M2 Pro Miners within a radius of 2 km. The 11th MatchX M2 Pro Miner added to this area will lose Miner Health.
On the MatchX Map you can see how many MatchX M2 Pro Miners are nearby.
Fuel
The fuel of a MatchX M2 Pro Miner is the mined MXC tokens. All mined tokens go in one “fuel tank”. This fuel tank is always the size of the total MXC tokens mined. The moment you withdraw MXC, the fuel in the fuel tank decreases and the MatchX M2 Pro Miner loses Health. The fuel tank contributes 50% to the total Miner Health. In this article we assume that the MatchX M2 Pro Miner has 50% Miner Health of the other 5 factors.
For example:
Total mined MXC | Recorded MXC | MXC in the fuel tank | Fuel tank % (max 50%) | Total Miner Health % |
100 | 0 | 100 | 50% | 100% |
100 | 50 | 50 | 25% | 75% |
100 | 100 | 0 | 0% | 50% |
This doesn’t mean you can never record MXC. The longer the MatchX M2 Pro Miner is on, the more tokens are mined that refill the fuel tank, which gradually increases the Miner Health.
For example:
Total mined MXC | Total mined MXC | MXC in the fuel tank | Fuel tank % (max 50%) | Total Miner Health % |
100 | 100 | 0 | 0% | 50% |
150 | 100 | 50 | 16,67% | 66,67% |
200 | 100 | 100 | 25% | 75% |
250 | 100 | 150 | 30% | 80% |
300 | 100 | 200 | 33,34% | 83,34% |
Miner Health is a new concept
Miner Health is a never-before-used system. The purpose of the Miner Health is to give miners insight and control over the global data network that they build themselves. This way miners can decide for themselves how they want to participate in the network. Since Miner Health is a new concept, there will be regular updates and changes to optimize this concept.
MXC Foundation:
“Miner health is the next step in strengthening our global data network, and this is how blockchain meets real-world applications.”
