Bitcoin (BTC) mining is known to consume a lot of power. Thus, with a Bitcoin ASIC Miner, a cost-benefit analysis is always needed to see if the power consumption does not exceed the returns. What do you need to mine Bitcoin with the MatchX M2 Pro Miner?

• At least one MatchX M2 Pro Miner
• The (free) DataDash App
• 5000 MXC
• Miner Health of 90% or more

How does Bitcoin mining work with the MatchX M2 Pro Miner?

For this article we assume that you own a MatchX M2 Pro Miner and that you have installed MatchX miner. If you don’t know how to install your miner yourself, consult our MatchX FAQ or contact us.

Step 1: To start mining Bitcoin, log in to the DataDash App. Click on “Home” at the bottom left of the app. Under the heading “Wallet” you will find the tokens that are currently (can be) mined by the MatchX M2 Pro Miner. If BTC is not visible here, first click on “+ Add Token” and select BTC.

Step 2: Click on the (just added) BTC Token to open the BTC Dashboard. Click on “Mine” at the top right.

Step 3: After clicking “Mine” a popup will open at the bottom of the screen asking for a “Bond”. Click on “Bond”.

Step 4: To proceed to mine Bitcoin, you must have a minimum of 5000 MXC available. If you do not have a 5000 MXC, you will see the following screen:

You can replenish MXC tokens by buying tokens through an exchange, or take them from the fuel tank of your MatchX M2 Pro Miner and place them in your wallet. Pay attention: As soon as you take MXC out of the fuel tank, the Miner Health will go down. You need a Miner Health of at least 90% to mine Bitcoin. Read more about Miner Health here. When you have at least 5000 MXC to bond, you will see the following screen:

Agree to the BTC Mining terms and conditions and click “Continue” to continue.

Step 5: This will take you to the screen where you can see how many miners (if you have multiple miners) are eligible to mine Bitcoin. Per miner you need to bond at least 5000 MXC for Bitcoin mining. The bonded MXC ultimately determines the mining power per MatchX M2 Pro Miner. For example: A MatchX M2 Pro Miner with 10,000 bonded MXC will mine as much BTC as two MatchX M2 Pro Miners with 5,000 bonded MXC per miner. Enter how much MXC you want to bond per miner and click on “Confirm Bond”. It can take up to 24 hours for your miner(s) to join the BTC Mining Network.

What happens after the 60 day bond?

After the 60 days bond, the bond will automatically renew to mine BTC for another 60 days. If you want to mine more BTC, you can add extra MXC at any time and increase the bond. This will increase the Mining Power of the MatchX M2 Pro.

If you choose not to extend the bond, you can cancel the bond 48 hours before the end of the bonding period. This gives a “Cooling-off Period” of 5 days, during which you cannot make a new bond or mine BTC. Within these 5 days, the bound MXC will be automatically released in your DataDash Wallet.

Every bonding for BTC follows the same guidelines. You bond x MXC for 60 days, you have 48 hours notice and a 5 day cooling off period.

How much Bitcoin (BTC) does the MatchX M2 Pro earn?

The MatchX Foundation is still extensively testing Bitcoin mining. In the initial testing phase, an average of $38.60 per person was mined over a 30-day period. This equates to a daily yield of $1.28 BTC. This may not sound impressive, but remember that you are mining BTC in addition to MXC mining. The BTC mining is more than 30 euros bonus, on top of the 300 euros MXC mining per month. This is an increase of more than 10% extra passive income per miner per month!
